Understanding Love.

The father jumped onto the chair and screamed the last throaty lyrics of Twist and Shout. The boy shook his hips in a spastic dance move and ended the song by falling to his knees and relishing in the shrieks of an imaginary crowd.
The father jumped down and quickly turned the music off before the next CD started, as he said, “Now tell me that’s not an awesome song!”
“It’s Ok,” said the boy mockingly.
“What!” said the father with mock surprise as he tackled the boy. “You simply have no class, I tell you.” The father sat on the carpet and motioned for the boy to sit next to him. “The Beatles have inspired me to tell you about love, because love is the key to this fantastic music. Love is the key to all great music and art everything that’s good in life. ”
Understand this; love is what life is about. Love is why you are here in this world. It’s your highest purpose in life.
Love is the power underneath all power. It’s the creator of all, from the smallest atom to the largest galaxy. Love is the celestial melody that vibrates all. Love is the light of this world. Love is the supreme law of the universe.
I’m talking about the highest of the high; God’s love. Some people call this love the Holy Spirit or God’s Word. I want you to understand it simply as waves of love that flow from God to all Souls in the universe. These waves of divine love are the rhythm of life.
This same love that created the universe surrounds you and embraces you right now. You are always immersed in God’s love, even if you aren’t aware of it. You, as Soul, may not hear the divine melody, but it’s only because you aren’t listening. You may not see God’s light, but it’s only because you’ve closed your spiritual eyes.
I want you to nurture the love in your heart. Understand though that this love doesn’t originate within you, but it originates within God and it flows through you.
Do you understand the significance of this?
It means that you have a direct connection to God at all times, simply because God loves you. It means that you have access to an infinite supply of love flowing through you, all you have to do is sincerely and gratefully accept it.
Understand that you, as Soul, are a vessel for divine love. You can choose to let this divine love flow through you and to the world. As you release your resistance and open yourself up to pure love, you feel whole and satisfied because you are fulfilling your divine purpose. By opening your heart to God’s love you can experience heaven right here and now.
You have to set love free though. As you accept love, let it flow through you and to the world. Let it move you and inspire you into action. Demonstrate this love. Let it express itself through you.
This flow of love is the key to all success and happiness in your life. Letting love into your heart is the only way to spiritual enlightenment. It’s the door to all spiritual growth. Let divine love into your heart and miracles can happen. Relax and live in harmony with these waves of love and you will see many of your problems dissolve away. Inspired answers will pop into your mind. Divine guidance will seem to come at you from all directions.
My point is also a practical one. This divine love that flows through you imparts vitality to your mind and heart. It’s the source of all creativity, inspiration and wisdom and freedom. It’s the source of all spiritual growth and it’s the source of all happiness. All of this is available to you right here and right now.
Don’t doubt your ability to love or to find vitality or inspiration. If you ever feel that you don’t have any love in your heart or that you can’t find inspiration, relax. Remember that love does not originate within you, but rather it originates in God. All you have to do is open yourself to receive this love. The amount of love and creativity and happiness that you can experience is endless because love is infinite.
Seek the highest within you and let it flow. Feel worthy of this love and accept it. By opening your heart to God’s love you can experience heaven right here and now, because heaven is love.
It sounds easy, but it takes discipline to remain open to God’s love while life pummels you from all sides. Let go of your anger, even if you feel justified. Leave guilt behind. Let go of your fear and worry. Be brave and strong and courageous and allow God’s love to flow through you to the world. Let it express itself through you.
This love is the source of all success in your life; marriage, art, music, business, everything. The Beatles knew how to let the love flow into their music. They were supremely confident in their ability to open themselves and let the music flow through them. The music that came through the Beatles was theirs, but the source of the music was much higher.
Seek the deep satisfaction within you and then success in all other aspects of your life will follow. Keep your heart pure. Love for love’s sake, without thought of getting anything in return.
They boy sat in silence for a moment, then the boy scooted over to the stereo and said, “Ok, now let me introduce you to some real music. Now this was created with love.”
The father chuckled and rubbed the boys head.
