Movie Recommendation: At Eternity's Gate
My wife and I recently watched the new movie about Vincent Van Gogh called "At Eternity's Gate."
I learned two things...
First, I have a renewed respect for Willam Defoe. He truly became Vincent Van Gogh. He was fantastic.
Second, I learned a lot about Vincent Van Gogh and the nature of genius. He was a troubled man, but his genius shined through despite (or maybe even because of) his mental issues.
It was an enlightening movie and I recommend it. The only negative was the shaky camera work. I don't understand why some directors think that a shaky camera makes the movie better.
