Well, I hear what you are saying on all points, except one. Changing the people's values back to "pro-freedom" (which biblically is called "restoration") may not be a lost cause at all, if you believe that all things are possible through God. And defeating wickedness is only ever accomplished through God. That, I believe, is just the kin…
Well, I hear what you are saying on all points, except one. Changing the people's values back to "pro-freedom" (which biblically is called "restoration") may not be a lost cause at all, if you believe that all things are possible through God. And defeating wickedness is only ever accomplished through God. That, I believe, is just the kind of prayer that God hears from his people- and answers -if we pray to him in faith, turn from our own evil ways as believers and are willing to act in obedience. There are others praying for this also. I'm not willing to give up on this nation founded under God, unless I can see that it is His will to give up on us. I'm not seeing that. What I am seeing is that now is the time to pray fervently and walk by faith, not by sight. So, I believe the solution you are asking about is found throughout psalms (which I've been led to study at the moment) which is: prayer in faith, personal repentance, being educated about our nation like you are, and backing it up with a willing obedience/taking the action we are led to take.
If such can be achieved without forcing your views on others, I think that is great. I would like the USA to survive, but as I explained in the video, people's values are different. I don't believe that it's right to force one side's views on another, even if you believe that you are right, because they certainly believe the same. God gave us free will to chose the life we want to live, which goes back to my point that many people have chosen to give up their freedoms.
I didn't say that you said that. What I'm saying is that our country is so divided that I don't know if we can come together again, which means that to keep our country as one means that one side has to force their opinions on the other side. Again, I'm not sure that is the only option, I'm just exploring this thought process. Thanks for your comment! I appreciate it.
As far as the view that "well, people's values are just different". I think a better view can be found in the verse that reads "Let God be true and every man found a liar."

You asked me what my solution was. My short answer was prayer to God and doing His will. Where have I implied forcing one's views on another?
