Hi From Glenn!
I have traveled extensively across the globe. During these adventures, I’ve met wonderful people in every country.
I’ve seen absolutely beautiful countries, such as New Zealand, Germany and Ecuador. And I’ve enjoyed the amazing cultures of China, Hungary and Japan.
But the USA has something special that makes it the greatest country on this planet. No, this is not said out of arrogance.
America is still the beacon of freedom. It is the light of the world, and it offers people the greatest opportunity to create the life they choose.
America has a secret sauce. Let’s explore the question, “What is this secret sauce that makes the USA the greatest country?”
Is America the greatest country because of the American people? Not exactly. Most people around the planet are good, family-loving men and women.
Is the USA great because of our natural resources? No. There are plenty of countries that are resource-rich, but they are poor, pathetic countries.
Is it because of our military might? No. America is not great because of our military might.
Is it our wealth and prosperity? No. We are not great because of our wealth and prosperity. Rather, we are wealthy and prosperous because of our secret sauce.
Is it because of our government? Certainly not. The American government is dangerous, corrupt, bloated and full of power-hungry psychopaths.
America is the greatest country in the world for three reasons . . .
First, We the People value individual freedom over collectivism. This is the cornerstone of our success and prosperity.
The Center for Individualism describes the difference between individualism and collectivism this way:
“Individualism is captured in the idea of America: a nation of individuals, each endowed with economic freedom, self-reliant in applying their own energy and creativity to advance their own circumstances and, in collaboration with others, contributing to an expanding economy, a stronger society, and growing well-being for all.”
On the other hand,
“. . . collectivism says that each individual must be made to serve the interests of society as a whole, regardless of his or her own desires, values, or ambitions. According to collectivism, your life doesn’t belong to you. If the way that you want to live your life doesn’t conform with someone else’s idea of the “common good,” then you must be forced into submission.”
Second, we have a fantastic Constitution that protects our freedoms by limiting the power of the government. Our Constitution is a line in the sand that tells power-seekers that our rights are not negotiable. But our Constitution protects us only if we, in turn, cherish and protect the Constitution.
Third, and most importantly, Americans believe that our rights come from God and not from the government, which means that the government does not have the authority to take our rights away.
We the People own this country, and our political representatives are our servants, not our masters. We choose to be in charge of our own lives, to freely speak our minds, to worship as we choose, to raise our children with our values and to defend ourselves and our families.
