“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
Hi from Glenn!
I hope you had a great Independence Day! I love July 4th, but we have a new neighbor who thinks it’s fun to shoot sticks of dynamite in the air. For two days straight. That drives me nuts, and our dog really freaks out about it.
Here are the five points I think you will like today...
🇺🇸 FIRST, here is a great version of the National Anthem. Have you seen it?
Yes, there is controversy on this one with people saying that certain team mates turned away from the flag, but others say that this did not happen. I just like to focus on the 98 year old playing the harmonica.
🙂 SECOND, I had a few thoughts I wanted to share with you today…
There will always be injustices in this world. This world will never be perfect, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t strive to make it as perfect as possible. Do what you can to make the world a better, more peaceful place. Serve in the best way possible according to what God wants of you.
Each of us is a unique Soul; a Divine Creation of God. The clay temple we temporarily wear during our very short time in this world is not who we are, and it’s not who others are. So don’t tie your identity too tightly to the color of your skin, your gender, or how wealthy you are, because you are not any of these things. Tie your identity to being God’s creation, which is the only thing that matters.
We each are here in this physical world to learn. The situation you find yourself in, including your challenges, obstacles and any perceived privilege, is between you and God only. God put you, and each of us, in our particular situations because God has determined that this is the best way for us to learn what He wants us to learn. Don’t feel guilty or resentful for your situation and don’t compare your situation to other’s, because others are also experiencing what God wants them to learn.
Whatever situation God put you in, appreciate it, embrace it, do what you can to make your life and other’s lives better. Uplift others. Have compassion for your fellow man and be kind in your words and deeds. See the best in people, and by seeing the best in them you will bring out their best. You can’t know what is in someone else’s heart, so assume the best.
Stay calm and project calm, especially when tensions get high. Find peace in your heart. Each moment, you have a choice to be a vehicle for God’s Love, or a vehicle for illusion and fear. Choose God’s Love; this will have a hugely positive affect on people around you.
For 20 minutes each day, have alone-time with God; in a private room or in the woods. Quiet your mind. Still your emotions. Be grateful for what you have in your life and focus on something you love with complete purity.
Let people be. You can’t force people to believe as you do, nor is it your right to do so. The only way to inspire change is by living your best life and letting God’s light shine through you.
Grant people the freedom to say what they want to say, even if you don’t agree. We each have the right to speak our minds. It’s better to let people openly say where they stand. You may find that they actually have a valid point, or if you still disagree with them you know where they stand and you can have and honest dialogue.
Don’t take or damage other people’s stuff.
Defend yourself and your loved ones when necessary.
Don’t let anyone, including the government, infringe upon your rights and liberties, which are God-given. But these liberties also come with the responsibility to respect other people’s rights and liberties.
I’d love to hear your comments.
🪙 THIRD, I want to quickly talk about the proverb, “Save for a Rainy Day.” Here are a few thoughts…
The purchasing power of your US Dollar today is the highest it will ever be, meaning that your $100 bill will buy more now than it will ever buy in the future. You certainly notice that prices keep going up, right? This is, in fact, NOT prices going up, but rather it’s the value of the dollar going down. This is why it’s so hard for people to keep their head above water.
On the other hand, a dime in 1955 purchased a hamburger, and that same 1955 dime still would purchase a hamburger (or two) today. This is not because of what the government says the dime is worth ($0.10), but rather because the silver content of pre-1964 dimes has inherent value because they were 90% silver.
Another example of this is from the Old Testament. The Old Testament states that in 600 BC, during the rein of King Nebuchadnezzar’s, an ounce of gold would buy 350 loafs of bread. Today, the price of gold is $1,800, while a loaf of bread is $5. $1,800 ÷ $5 = 360 loaves of bread. So an ounce of gold has the same purchasing power as it did 2,600 years ago!
Another way of looking at this is that money is a store of value. Gold and silver are real money, and they have been considered money for 5,000 years, because they hold their value. Currency, which is paper money issued by governments, is fake money and it constantly loses value (because the government deceptively steals its purchsing power from you). It’s like trying to store a gallon of water in a bucket full of holes.
The old adage of “Save for a Rainy Day,” is only true if you are saving something that continues to hold its value. The best way to save, in my humble opinion, is to own gold and silver, because they have proven, over thousands of years that they hold their value. But don’t think of it as an investment, but rather as a better way to save your money.

💡 AS A FINAL NOTE, I want to share a great review I got for the Privacy Action Plan. This is from Dot…
PAP is the Best!
I am SO glad to have signed up for Glenn Meder's Privacy Action Plan. Glenn explains everything clearly and in layman terms, and just gives us bits at a time to get things done. What I realize now is that most people have absolutely NO idea what info is being collected about them, and don't even seem to care - they are so enthralled with their "smart" gadgets. They don't even know what they don't know. Glenn brings us the facts about what we need to know. For all the valuable information we are learning, the price of the PAP is very reasonable. Knowledge is power. Thank you, Glenn, for all that you do to educate those who are open, willing and wise enough to learn from you.
In appreciation, Dot
Thank you Dot!
If you haven’t signed up for the Privacy Action Plan yet, you should do so ASAP. This is a vital skill that everyone should have, because big tech, governments and thieves watch you, track you and record everything you do online without your knowledge or consent.
Privacy is your right and you need to protect it. But there's so much to think about that securing your privacy can be overwhelming. The Privacy Action Plan gives you bite-sized actions to take every week. Just focus on the task at hand and before you know it, you'll have your privacy figured out! (Please note that premium members get 1/2 off.)
Have a great week!
Glenn 💛

I think it’s important to support independent voices who are actual truth seekers, because this is a rare thing in our world today. Journalists have lost their way, and many commentators stoke the division and hate that is consuming our country. Your support will definitely help.
So much Wisdom in this I don't know where to start. However, I am in total agreement. I keep hoping that if we live by these principles, as you said, those around us will benefit much. I believe we are here to help each other and the entire Web of Life. Many have forgotten this yet we can help some remember through our example. One of my all-time favorite quotes comes from Margaret Mead. You know, the one about "a small group of committed citizens" changing the world. Thank you for every word, Glenn.
Thank you Glenn. You are an inspiration.
