My grandparents always said "the Lord helps those who help themselves". Remembering that I have had both Moderna vaccines. They also taught me to be as prepared as I can but not like "the over prudent dog burying bones in the desert sand".
I agree with you that something else has to give out though I am not sure what that might be.

Fear is a potent weapon that causes extreme behavior. I reject fear and continue to set asíde what I think I may need in the near future.
I am only a retired researcher. Most of my college and grad school friends are in medicine. They were/are as fearful as everyone else and they took the vaccine.
Part of the beauty of this world is the unknown. Trying to prepare for every eventuality is not practical for me.
I enjoy your perspective because it is heart-felt. We all wait with our eyes focused on the future.
As a researcher, I have always had a vaccine passport. I have been inoculated for a long list of illnesses the world over. In the Amazon, in India and for other countries. Travel companions have always laughed at me for being over prudent, but they usually becoame ill and I did not.
Each of us has our list of truths based on our upbringing and rooyed in our belief systems. Like you I have been very fortunate to have met the most amazing people in my travels.

I trust. I always will.
Thanks Vanessa. Wise grandparents.
