I'm so happy that your wife will like the Apollo site. I was born in 1970, so obviously I didn't see it happen. But I look at it now, and compare it to our space abilities now and the fact that with all of our vaunted technology it would still be extremely difficult to do this today.
I was born in 1960 and my wife in 1975 and we both agree it would be an amazing feat today and I couldn't find the right words to describe what it took and the courage everybody in the space program displayed back then.
When I grew up they were the kind of people we looked up to and wanted to be like. Unfortunately today, most children hold entertain celebrities in that light, not those who truly move mankind forward.
Hopefully, one day our children and grand-children will once again look to those kind of people for inspiration.
