Thanks Vanessa! A couple points. First of all, preventing someone from running in the future is not what impeachment is for. The impeachment process is not intended to be a political weapon. It's a perversion of the intent of the Constitution, and is a reflection of how nasty politics has become. As far as your point about Trump, as I see it, Trump was a crude and rude man, but the real hate came from the Left-leaning media. As I explained in episode 11 of my podcast, I believe that Conservatives loved Trump (even though Trump wasn't conservative) so much because he was the first person they've seen who could stand up to the relentless bullying from the Left, which is something that Conservatives have to deal with every day from every angle. As far as the groups of conservative republicans who have distanced themselves from Trump, such as Mitt Romney and Ben Sasse, they can distance themselves all they want but as soon as they start perverting the Constitution they are wrong.
Anyway, thanks for your comment. I hope all the comments aren't just on this impeachment issue. That was the least important thing in my newsletter.
