Hi, Glenn, A timely subject. I grew up at the end of the Great Depression, we never seemed to have enough of anything. My Dad left for the 2ND WORLD WAR and was gone for four years fighting the Japs and the Germans to save Europe. When he returned, my folks got divorced and my father left. I never heard from him again. My mother re-married to an abusive man who took his frustrations physically out on me. I joined the Navy as soon as I graduated form High School and attained the rating of First Class Petty Officer in four years. I got married after Boot Camp with no money-I mean NO Money! $340 mustering out pay. We soon had our first child and I went to work. Two other children followed (the joy of my life!) We bought a new tract home with that money as a down payment. My wife and I have been married 67 years and our children are all doing well in life. I mention all the above not to brag but to point out a quote by Jim Rohn, " It's not what happens to you in life. What happens, happens to most everybody. "The question is-What are you going to do about it?" "And there' so much you can do". Find a spiritual grounding to secure your moral compass and go to work on yourself. There's always room for improvement. That's how you change the world for the better. God Bless you all.
