💛 You Are Invited!
To a free online training event that will teach you how to shop safely online.
Hi from Glenn!
Last week I told you about a discovery that Paul Moore, a security researcher, found when ordering food from his local fish & chips pub.
Paul lives in England. He wanted to buy fish & chips from his local pub and have it delivered, so he went to the pub’s website.
But before Paul placed his order, he decided to look at the code on the website. To his surprise and concern, he realized that the service that the restaurant used for placing take out orders (Tiffin Tom) was exposing sensitive information in an unencrypted way.
In short, everyone who has ordered food from a restaurant using the Tiffin Tom service has had their information completely exposed.
Now, to be clear, this problem is not the result of a hack. Rather, the software is very poorly written. They simply have no idea what they are doing.
HERE’S THE LESSON: You don’t know whether a website is properly written or not. The website may look very professional. Yet, behind the scenes it may be a mess. How many other websites and apps are poorly written, like Tiffin Tom?
It is vital that you learn how to be bulletproof online.
What do I mean be “bulletproof”?
If I ordered food from a Tiffin Tom app, I would NOT be at risk.
This is because I know how to order from any online store without putting my information at risk.
How do I do this?
It is actually fairly simple to be bulletproof if you have the proper training, if you know how to think properly about it, and if you use the right online tools.
This is what I want to teach you.
Please join me for a free, live one-hour online class Wednesday at 11am central. I will teach you how to be bulletproof online.
You will learn how to shop anywhere online without worry.
After this one-hour class, you will see exactly why I say that I would not be concerned, even if I purchased from Tiffin Tom. And you will be able to duplicate what I do.
TITLE: How to Protect Yourself from Hackers, Scammers and Thieves When Shopping Online.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 8th at 11am Central.
