The very first thing he said to me was, āYou taking care of your woman?ā
It was a surprise and a great way to start a conversation and keep our conversation on a positive note.

š„ FIRST, THE DARK NIGHT OF SOUL.
I had a realization the other day that I wanted to share with you.
Life, as you know, can be very hard. Health problems. Love problems. Money problems. Sometimes these problems can seem too much to bare.
When we are at our low points, we often ask God for help.
Sometimes we beg or plead.
But then what? Does God help?
Some will say yes, and others will say no.
Hereās my perspectiveā¦
You and I are Soul (we donāt āhaveā a Soul, rather we ARE Soul, and we have a body).
And as Soul, we are here to learn. This world is a school.
What are we each here to learn? To love as God loves. This takes strength.
All challenges, problems, and conflicts are actually opportunities to learn.
But itās up to us as to whether we are going to learn what God wants us to learn.
So to answer the question, āDoes God answer our prayers?ā I believe that the answer lies within us.
Have you learned the lesson that God wants you to learn?
In other words, have you used this opportunity to become stronger so you can let Godās love flow into you and through you to others?
It can just take a simple, small realization.
Open your heart, and when you do, you will see that God has answered your prayers.
So next time you ask God for help, look at the situation objectively. Ask yourself what youāre supposed to learn from the situation. Ask yourself how you can gain strength from the situation and let Godās love into your heart.
That is what I have learned.

Well written. I have tried to thank God everyday for the small things (that are actually quite large) and to be content with my learning opportunities. Someone will always have it better but I am blessed to not have it so bad.
